Our patrons

With the SDBTT William Doolin Fund taking on a wider perspective, both nationally and internationally, we are particularly interested in enlisting the support of people who would be willing to be Patrons of the Fund. Our hope is that Patrons would, in addition to lending their name, be willing to be kept informed of the development of the Fund and help publicise fundraising events through their own organisation.

So far, the following have kindly agreed to become Patrons

David Fulton – ex-captain of Kent County Cricket Club

David played for Kent from 1992-2006, captaining them from 2003-2005. He scored over 12, 000 first class runs including 28 centuries. He now reports cricket for Sky Sports. David had a benefit in 2006 and gave 50% of the proceedings to charity including 40% to The Samantha Dickson Trust, following the death at 37, of his brother-in-law, and fellow Kent player, Richard Davis, from a brain tumour.

Mayor of Dover - Councillor Mrs V L Philpott

In 2009 with Deputy Mayor, Sue Jones, Ronnie took on the role of Deputy Mayoress.  This resulted in two further years 2009/10 and 2010/2011 of a very happy union, this time as Mayoress to Sue's Mayoral role.  Ronnie saw this as wonderful oppurtunity to serve the people and to promote the town they both love.  This year Ronnie is proud to have been elected as Mayor for the forthcoming year and hopes she can make the people she meets have the same pride in their town as she has.
