HeadSmart

HeadSmart aims to raise national awareness of the common signs and symptoms of a brain tumour in children and young people by equipping parents and GP's with the knowledge they need to be 'brain tumour aware'.  It provides practical resources, including: A dedicated HeadSmart website consisting of information for health professionals and the public about common signs and symptoms of brain tumours, and what to do if they see them.  A set of age specific symptom cards to guide parents and young people on when to see a doctor.   Plus 'The diagnosis of brain tumours in children' guideline for health professionals, including when they should refer a patient for a brain scan.
