Fund raising

Our aim is to raise funds for research into brain tumours and, in particular, medulloblastoma. Just 60% of children with this type of brain tumour will be alive five years after diagnosis. For those children, such as William whose cancer has spread at time of diagnosis, the survival rate is much less.

We want to raise as much as possible for research into this devastating illness. Whatever we raise, 100% will go towards research projects identified by the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust, the largest dedicated brain tumour charity in the UK with the highest level of laboratory based brain tumour research in the country. Because we are dedicated to supporting research, we regret we are unable to support individual cases. We are an umbrella group of The Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust.

Sadly, brain tumours kill more children than any other type of cancer. After road accidents it is the biggest cause of death in children. That is why we need your help to support us funding research.

The SDBTT William Doolin Fund was launched on William’s birthday, December 28 2006, and within two months had raised an amazing total of over £10,000 from donations and fundraising.

Raised so far £22,000
